Easy to Find Herbals |
Garlic Cloves: Useful as a great seasoning, antiseptic for bathing wounds, bugspray, heart medicine. |
Aloe: Antiseptic, retards scarring, burn ointment, moisturizer; use the pulp and add vitamin c powder to help preserve ointment for a week, refrigerate. |
Witch Hazel: antiseptic & natural Anti-biotic, good for internal, good for hemoroids & diarrhea. |
Ginger: cramps, colic, flatulence, promotes sweating, gargle for sore throat. |
Comfrey root: helps bind wounds together, good for mucilage for lozenges, (also Marshmallow roots & Slippery Elm bark. |
Rosehips: high in vitamin C, great tea, good for cramps & menstruation problems, |
Marigolds: anti-microbiotic, antiseptic, good for burns, wounds, and salad greens. Marigold Balm/Ointment: add 2 oz.(about a handful) of marigold flowers to 200g/7 oz. melted petroleum jelly and bring to boil. Simmer low heat for about 10 minutes, stir well. Sift through fine gauze and press all liquid from flowers. Pour into container and seal after cooled. External use only. |

Teas-Infusions |
Take a china or glass teapot which has been warmed and put one teaspoonful
of the dried herb or herb mixture into it for each cup of tea to brew.
Pour a cup of boiling water in for each teaspoonful of herb already in pot and put lid on. Leave to steep for ten to fifteen minutes. Sweeten with Licorice Root, honey or even brown sugar. |
