Formerly the "Cyber Dojo", this bizarre and interesting site by Roger K. Sim has a great design, lots of good links, and miscellaneous insanity.

Alpha's Lair: Gives info/rumors and is a newsgroup on one of my favorite authors, Laurell K. Hamilton, of the Anita Blake series.  
One of my highest recommended series.

Darkrose Manor- For anyone who enjoys dark fiction and vampire tales.

Pricescan: Find the best price on computer stuff and read great reviews on products to find out what you really need!

Pricewatch: Just like pricescan, for comparison purposes.

Review Finder: Reviews on everything!  Almost as good as having a consumer reports magazine in hand.

Unix Guru Universe: Great resource for the individual delving into the mysteries of Unix (all flavors).

SunFreeware.com: Free Unix software under the GNU license.

Linux Online!: Totally free flavor of Unix and many guru's preferred brand!

Happy Puppy: Freeware and shareware games.  

Download.com: the best site on the web to download free shareware.

Tucows
A very large selection of shareware and freeware, such as drivers, players, editors, and just about anything you would need.

Dogpile.com: my favorite place to do searches, this puppy is a Marmaduke, it searches a slew of popular search engines;
like Lycos, Yahoo etc., all at once.
